I have loved looking at the never ending detail of faces my entire life. As a kid I was inspired by the work of artists like Michaelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, John Singer Sergeant and then the simple genius of Mad Magazine's Mort Drucker and Al Jaffee. I loved the adventure in Frank Hampson's DAN DARE comic books but I loved his paintings the most. Later on I was blown away by the magical movie poster art of Drew Struzan, Bob Peak, John Alvin, Richard Amsel and Mark Raats. I hope my paintings can bring some of that joy and wonder that I felt, to the people who see them. That would be amazing to me.
